YS Jagan on Mission Bharosa to farmers

YS Jagan on Mission Bharosa to farmers - Sakshi Post

To console the families of the farmers who died due to mounting debts and crop failures, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will embark upon a four-day Bharosa Yatra in four constituencies of Anantapur from Monday.

This is the second phase of YS Jagan’s Bharosa Yatra in Anantapur district, which is one of the worst hit districts. As many as 66 farmers had ended their lives in this district alone, a fact which the TDP government tried to whitewash, but had to admit later due to YS Jagan’s campaign.

During this phase, he would cover Guntakal, Uravakonda, Rayadurgam and Kalyandurg constituencies. On May 11, he would cover Guntakal, on May 12 Uravakonda, on May 13 Rayadurgam and on May 14 Kalyanadurg would be covered. YS Jagan would call on the kin of the deceased farmers and console them. The yatra is aimed at instilling confidence among the farming community and at dissuading them from ending their lives in distress. The yatra also seeks to highlight the insensitive attitude of the TDP government towards the plight of the farmers. The TDP’s backtracking on its election-eve promise of crop and Dwcra loan waiver has led to distress and despair among the farming community.

As part of the tour, YS Jagan would also call on the kin of slain YSRCP leader B Prasada Reddy. Reddy was done to death in the most brutal manner when he was called to Rapthadu tehsildar office for discussions on April 29. This is part of the continuing deadly attacks on YSRCP activists ever since the TDP government assumed power.
