Paris: A sandwich eatery waiter was shot dead by a customer on the outskirts of Paris on Friday night, allegedly angry over being made to wait for the sandwich.
The accused shot him in the shoulder with a handgun in the Noisy-le-Grand suburb east of Paris, police said. He died on spot as the gunmen fled from the scene.
A witness told a news agency that the the man had lost his temper "as his sandwich wasn't prepared quickly enough".
Police said probe is underway.
Locals gathered outside the eatery and mourned the death of the man.
"It's a quiet restaurant, without any problems. It just opened a few months ago," a woman was quoted saying.
Residents said that crimes were common in the area, notably drug-dealing and public drunkenness.
