Since past three years, they didn't announce Nandi Awards due to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

In 2014, Allu Arjun's Race Gurram was released and it had become a huge blockbuster hit in Tollywood. But Allu Arjun not getting due recognition for the same has hurt the Mega family and his fans alike. It is a known fact that many Tollywood actors are from the Mega family. Yet the fact that none of their works was recognized has deeply hurt and shocked the audience.

Allu Arjun's last three movies are Race Gurram, Sarrainodu and S/O Satyamurthy did good business at the box office. Now, the possible reason for his exemption from Nandi Award has become a hotly debated topic on the internet. While a few people feel that the Committee members have taken Mega Family for granted knowing fully well that most of the revenue comes from the Mega family itself.

On the career front, Allu Arjun will next be seen in Naa Peru Surya Na Illu India where he portrays a brave soldier. The movie is all set to hit the big screens next year on April 27.
