Vundavalli forgets his godfather? - Sakshi Post

Lok Sabha MP from Rajahmundry, Vundavalli Arun Kumar's 9th anniversary meeting completed on Wednesday. Surprisingly, instead of talking about his achievements, he used the occasion to criticize his political opponents.

His entire speech centered around TRS Chief KCR and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. In his speech that lasted for one and half hour—one hour was dedicated to KCR and half an hour for attacking Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He was all praises for Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He said that it was YSR who got him into politics and that he was very close to YSR. He also credited YSR for his MP post.

But what surprised those present at the meeting was that there was not a single photo of his godfather YSR—neither on the dais nor anywhere on the stage. The irony is although pictures of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi adorned the stage, the photo of YSR who was responsible for him to celebrate his nine years as MP, was missing!

It's a general practice for any politician to talk of his achievements and the work done by him. Also, the buzz in the political circles is that Vundavalli's chances of winning in the upcoming elections are very bleak. When that's the case, why not use his last opportunity to tell people what he's done? It is learnt that it was at the behest of some senior Congress leaders that the MP attacked Jagan in his speech.
