Video Clips Reveal Police Links With Nayeem

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing into several cases against slain gangster Nayeem, has evaluating a video footage showing the close links of some police officials with the Naxalite-turned-extortionist. Though several names of police officials are making rounds in the media, all eyes on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao as what action he would take against those involved in illegal activities of the gangster.
Sources said that video clips are revealing that police officers from Telangana directly or indirectly had close connections with Mohammad Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem, as prima facie evidence is available against them in the form of photos.

Police officers were surprised to find pictures of their colleagues with Nayeem during preliminary searches at his house in Alkapuri, Narsingi and other parts of Hyderabad, Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts.
Nayeem was killed in an encounter at Shadnagar on August 8.
Some police officers though not regularly but were in touch with Nayeem through different modes of communication.
on a condition of anonymity, a police officer, who’s part of investigation, said that several photos seized from dens of Nayeem have already confirmed close links of some police officials with Nayeem.

“We wondered over select pictures also reveal that police officers who knew that their pictures were being clicked while interacting with Nayeem. Some police officials were not aware of the fact that they were being video recorded,” he said.
So far prominent name mentioned in the media reports is Mohan Reddy, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) from Karimnagar.

An association of victims of Mohan Reddy has been formed to fight against his illegal activities in Karimnagar. The association had already made a representation to SIT, which is investigating into cases against Mohan Reddy and his linkes with Nayeem.
ASI Mohan Reddy was accused of driving a private school correspondent to suicide and illegally grabbing properties of several others after extending loans to them at exorbitant interest rates.

Some police officers in north Telangana were transferred in ASI Mohan Reddy case. Now, these officers have been given law and order postings.
ASI Mohan Reddy also revealed some names in his confessional statement.
