Medak:  A loaded truck veered off the road and crashed into the railing of the bridge at Rayipalli of Manuru mandal in Medak district on Friday night. The truck hung perilously off the bridge and the hapless driver and the cleaners had to spend a harrowing night inside the dangling truck perched precariously over the bridge.

The fruit-laden truck was enroute to Bidar and the driver lost control of the vehicle after one of the front tyres blew out and crashed into a concrete guard rail.

Both driver and his assistant were forced to stay put inside the cabin all the night as they feared of the truck falling down into the river because if they got down from the vehicle it would have fell into the river.

Later in the morning, the locals found them and rescued them. Thankfully, they showed no obvious signs of injury. Police arrived the spot and had detoured the traffic in order to avoid any untoward incident and the truck is being pulled out.
