The Andhra Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) for the supply of iron ore to Kadapa Steel Plant.
He also asked for setting up of a Petroleum University in Kakinada as skilled manpower is required for the upcoming major project of KG-DWN 98/2 of the ONGC.
The Karnataka government had earlier withdrawn the extension of the mining lease granted to the mine in November 2018 for a 20 year period.
