Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ that had its Telangana release in the month of April, will be hitting screens in Andhra Pradesh on May 1. This was after themovie was asked to be stopped from screening by many Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists had approached the Election commission of India (ECI), stating that it put their Supremo Chandrababu Naidu in Bad light.
The move is supposed to be the over the life of the then TDP Chief NTR, after his second marriage with Lakshmi. The movie also talks about the land slide victory that the TDP had won in the 1994 elections.
Ram Gopal Varma had come out with a tweet on Friday, speaking about the movie’s release in Andhra Pradesh. The tweet read; “Finally #LakshmisNTR is now releasing on MAY 1ST in ANDHRA PRADESH ..Come watch the conspiracies that happened behind NTR’s back”
