AP Assembly at Velagapudi  - Sakshi Post

''Holidays'' have been declared for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly! Shocked? But, it's true!! Since there are a slew of wedding functions starting from Thursday till Saturday, the MLAs wanted that holidays be declared for the assembly.

Several TDP MLAs and BJP floor leader Vishnukumar Raju raised this issue during the zero hour on Wednesday and all the members present backed the demand by loud thumping of the desks. Later, TDP MLAs Varadapuram Suryanarayana, D Narendra, Syam Sundar Sivaji and Gadde Ramohan too supported the demand.

Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said he understood the feelings of the MLAs and added that the government had no objection if the speaker announced holidays on November 23, 24 and 25. Immediately after Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu completed his reply on the debate on Polavaram project, the Speaker announced holidays on 23, 24, and 25. The Assembly would convene again on November 27.
