Hyderabad: Huzurnagar by-election votes will be counted and the results will be declared on Thursday, October 24. This will decide the fate of the candidates that have contested from Huzurnagar Assembly constituency from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Congress, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Huzurnagar polling was held on October 21, and it had recorded 84.76 per cent of voting. The administration has made all the required arrangements for the counting of the votes at Agriculture Market Committee Godown in Suryapet.

The by-election was conducted for the first time after last year's Telangana Assembly elections, due to the resignation of state Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Even though 28 candidates competed in this by-poll the main contest is among the candidates of TRS, Congress, BJP, and TDP.

But TRS has a massive majority in the assembly having a strength of 100 in the 120-member House.
