Nizamabad: A huge road accident took place on the National Highway 44 near Adloor Yellareddy in the district on Thursday. The incident took place on Thursday morning at Sadashiva Nagar Zone in Nizamabad when a car driver rammed into a truck from the rear end resulting in the death of three people.

As per the details, five people from Hyderabad were heading towards Basara. The five of them belonged to the same family and resided in High Court Colony in Vanasthalipuram. The speeding car collided the truck when it approached the village of Adloor Yellareddy village on the National Highway 44 when the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

Three people in the car succumbed to death on the spot due to the impact of the collision. Two others were reported to have sustained injuries in the accident. The injured were identified as a boy named Abhiram and his father, Rakesh, who were admitted to the nearby hospital and are currently undergoing treatment. The truck was completely damaged after a fire erupted in the vehicle due to the collision. A case has been registered and the police are investigating further.
