1. BJP MLA Raja Singh Criticises Police For Wearing Skull Cap

The lone BJP MLA from Telangana Raja Singh who is repeatedly seen in the news for his controversial statements against the Muslim minority, had lashed out on Sub Inspector K Srinivasa Rao of Falaknuma police station for wearing a Muslim skullcap in the police station on Ramzan Eid day.

3. Hyderabad: Moving Car Catches Fire, Close Shave For Passenger

A panic situation broke out in Osmangunj in Afzalgunj police station limits in Hyderabad on Wednesday night after a fire erupted from a moving car. Noticing the fumes coming out of the car, the person, who was driving the car parked the vehicle alongside the road immediately and escaped from getting hurt in the incident.

4. Sarpanch Doesn’t Have Authority To Issue Demolition Notices: HC

The Telangana High Court clarified that no village sarpanch on the behalf of Gram Panchayat can authorize to issue notices to demolish illegal constructions in the village. The power to do so is entrusted with the Panchayat secretary appointed under Section 42 of the Act.

5. CCS Continues Grilling Former TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash On Day 2

Former CEO of TV9 V Ravi Prakash was questioned by the Central Crime Station (CCS) for the second day on Wednesday afternoon. Ravi Prakash who was evading arrest in a forgery and cheating case for nearly a month, had finally appeared before the Hyderabad police on Tuesday as per the Supreme Court directions after being denied anticipatory bail by the apex court.
