Hyderabad: As part of its child friendly policing initiative, the Rachakonda police is organizing a two-day summer camp for children on May 18 and 19. As part of the summer camp activities, children will be sensitised and made aware about the SHE teams, Traffic and Cybercrime with demonstrations etc.
What: Rachakonda Police Summer Camp
Who can attend: Open for both boys and girls aged between 10 years and 18 years
Where: The camp will be held at J-Valley Resorts in Thatti Annaram in Nagole.
Takeaways: Awareness will be sought on variety of issues including crime against women, child abuse, child marriages, domestic violence, human trafficking, cybercrime and eve-teasing through short films and practical demo.
Registrations: Registrations will be accepted on May 16 and 17 at the helpdesk located in LB Nagar Police Commissioner Camp Office at Alkapuri, from 10 am to 5 pm.
* No registration fee will be charged.
May 18: Traffic awareness programmes, demos,display of short film movies related to traffic and other issues and practical demo by children in a realistic manner will be held.
The children will also be sensitised on topics like crime against women, child sexual abuse, child marriages, domestic violence, trafficking, eve teasing, etc.,
May 19: Cyber Crime awareness programmes, use of Internet, Do’s & Dont’s while handling digital equipment and valedictory ceremony will be held.
The participants will be provided with lunch and snacks at the venue and will also be awarded with certificates signed by Mahesh M Bhagwat, Police Commissioner, Rachakonda, on the last day.
