Hyderabad: As per tradition at the All India Industrial Exhibition in Nampally on Tuesday will be opened exclusively for women where men and children above 10 years of age will not be allowed inside the premises.
The last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan, had in 1940, dedicated ‘Ladies Day’ for Muslim women who hesitate to mingle with the men in large groups. “We have dedicated a day exclusively for the women and kids at Numaish, even if it means that the arrival of visitors will be low on Tuesday,” said the honorary secretary of the exhibition society, G.V. Ranga Reddy.
You can expect to see the usual fare of artisans and local weavers from all across India, jewellery, home decor, dry fruits, handicrafts, and electronics etc. The usual food stalls plus the fun rides like a giant wheel, Ferris wheel, motorcycle stunts are some things that the kids look forward to.
Normal visitors will be allowed to enter the exhibition from 4 pm onwards.
