Mohammed Bari, the terror suspect in the brutal killing of a Dalit youth Pranay in Miryalaguda on Friday afternoon had hired a killer Sharma from Samasthipur district in Bihar to carry out the heinous act. Telangana police reached Bihar and have taken Sharma into custody to bring him to Nalgonda, it is learnt.
The other suspect who was accused in the Haren Pandya murder case Asghar Ali, is also said to have been near the hospital premises to keep an eye on the incident. It is learnt that Sharma fled on Ali's bike after carrying out the brutal murder.
Bari had entrusted the job to Ali, who took the contract to eliminate Pranay because he was badkly in need of money to help him get his ailing daughter treated.
According to Nalgonda SP Ranganath, there are seven accused in all connected to this crime. A Nalgonda based gang reached out to a Bihar gang handing it the contract to kill Pranay, it is learnt. The senior police official further revealed that all the seven accused have been arrested. He also revealed that former Nakrekal MLA Veeresham would also be questioned.
It may be recalled that a Dalit Pranay was hacked to death in broad daylight by a contract killer hired by his wife Amrutha Varshini's father Maruthi Rao who was unhappy with his daughter marrying a lower caste guy. The honour killing has been drawing a lot of flak from people.
