New Delhi: TRS MPs called on Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday to urge his intervention to help develop highways and regional ring roads in Telangana. MPs Nama Nageswara Rao, Nethakani Venkatesh, Banda Prakash and MLA Balka Suman were among those who met the Union Minister.

They urged the Minister to hasten the exercise of new roads and road widening works taken up in the State after the bifurcation. MLA Suman specifically requested Gadkari to consider laying new highway between Mandamarri and Chennur as it would reduce the distance up to 40 to 50 kilometres. Gadkari responded positively to their requests.
