Sangareddy: While his party is launching a scathing attack against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with regard to Kaleswaram Project, the mercurial Sangareddy MLA Jaggareddy has showered praise on KCR.
Speaking to press persons here on Wednesday, Jaggareddy said there was no reason to find fault with Kaleswaram project and pointed out that anyone who did good things should be appreciated. The Telangana Congress, however, accused the TRS government of escalating construction costs and indulging in large-scale corruption in completing Kaleswaram project.
Jaggareddy said the completion of Kaleswaram meant Singuru, Manjeera, and Mahaboobsagar under his constituency would get adequate inflows of water.
"People's irrigation and drinking water needs will be taken care of by this project. It is always worth appreciating no matter who ever built dams and irrigation projects," he remarked.
On the other hand, he recalled that it was Congress party that had built Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam dams in united AP that benefitted scores of farmers and people at large. He offered to felicitate KCR if Kaleswaram lived up to its expectations of resolving water crisis in the region in a year's time. The Kaleswara project is set to be inaugurated on June 21.
