KCR To Expand Telangana Cabinet On February 19

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar  Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad:The much-awaited expansion of the Telangana cabinet is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 19, at 11.30 am. There has been widespread criticism from various quarters including the opposition parties about the inordinate delay in forming the Cabinet, and speculations were rife as to who would be a part of the new Cabinet since the past two months since the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) came into power.

So far only the swearing-in-ceremony of the party supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and party MLC Mohammed Mehmood Ali, who took oath as chief minister and deputy CM respectively, was seen.

But KCR has finally given the green signal for the cabinet expansion, and the date is scheduled for 19th of this month at 11:30 AM. The news came out after KCR had met the governor ESL Narasimhan earlier today. It is said that 10 ministers would make it in the cabinet in the first round. With the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and a brief session of the Telangana assembly session which will commence on February for the vote-on-account budget, it was becoming imperative to form the cabinet. The list of contenders who could make it in the list include, Eatala Rajender, Talasani Yadav, Jagadeeswar Reddy, Niranjan Reddy, Prasanth Reddy, Padma Devendar Reddy, Rekha Nayak, Jogu Ramanna, Koppula Eeswar. Whereas Nayani Narasimha Reddy, T Padma Rao Goud , Indrakaran Reddy and Lakshma Reddy may not make in the list as of now.

But whether his son and the TRS working president KT Rama Rao and nephew T Harish Rao would make it to the cabinet still remains a suspense.

Meanwhile, KCR has given directives to the general administration officials to make arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on 19th which happens to be Magha Suddha Pournmi and is considered to be a very holy day astrologically.
