Jagga Reddy,Sangareddy MLA - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Congress MLA from Sangareddy Jagga Reddy said that none of the recently elected Congress MLAs would defect to other parties. Speaking to media here today, the former minister revealed he was seeking a Lok Sabha seat for his wife in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Asked on the reason for his victory amid the Congress's dismal performance in the Assembly polls, Jagga Reddy said the people of Sangareddy believed in his words like the students would believe those of a teacher. "KCR is the CM. I am just an MLA in the government. While protecting the image of Congress party, I will strive for the people of Sangareddy and development of the region," he said.

Speaking on the prospect of Congress MLAs jumping ship from the party, Jagga Reddy said none of the MLAs would leave the party if certain issues with respect to individual MLAs are addressed. We have failed in taking the Congress manifesto to the people, he added.

Jagga Reddy announced his interest in serving as the CLP leader. "If the party feels I am eligible for the responsibility, I will do justice to the post. There are as many reasons for my win as there are reasons for Karna's death. My daughter's efforts and my cadre's continued struggle helped me win," he said.
