KCR’s 28 Public Meetings Will Cover 66 Telangana Constituencies

Hyderabad: As Telangana Assembly elections nomination phase comes to an end on Monday, all the major political parties in the state are gearing up to campaign by motivating their party leaders.

Telangana caretaker chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will kick-start his campaign addressing 28 public meetings which will cover 66 of 119 constituencies in the state.

United Progressive Alliance chairperson and former Congress party president Sonia Gandhi is expected to begin her Telangana campaign on November 23.

Recently, the BJP announced that 40 campaigners including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and 20 union ministers are about to campaign in the state.

KCR will start his campaign on Monday at his farmhouse in Erravalli by boarding a helicopter around 1:30 pm.

He will address one public meeting in every two Assembly constituencies with an objective to cover 100 constituencies before December 5.

On November 19, KCR will hold two public meetings at Palakurthy and in Khammam. On November 20, the caretaker IT minister will attend public meetings at Huzurabad, Dubbak, Sircilla and Yellareddy. On November 21, he will participate in public meetings at Devarakonda, Nakrekal, Bhongir, Medak and Jedcharla.

On November 22, KCR will address poll campaigns at Khanapur, Itchoda (Boath constituency), Armoor, Mudhole and Nirmal constituencies. He will continue to campaign at Narsampet, Dornakal, Suryapet, Thungathurthi, Mahboobabad and Jangaon on November 23. On 25, he will attend public meetings at Narayanpet, Deverakadra, Shadnagar, Ibrahimpatnam, Parigi and Tandur constituencies.

Former Congress president, Sonia Gandhi will hold a public meeting in Medchal constituency on November 23. The Congress leaders are hoping that Sonia's visit will have a strong impact on Telangana voters since separate state of Telangana came under UPA dispensation. As per sources, the Congress leaders want TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to share the dais with Sonia but there was a difference of opinion regarding this, it is learned.

According to reports, Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit Telangana on November 28 and 29 where Chandrababu joins him at the public meeting. Earlier, the Congress leaders have said that actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi would join the campaign but they later changed their mind.

Vijayashanthi, the star campaigner from Congress has been actively participating in the campaign along with Bhatti Vikramarka. TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy will cover all the constituencies in the Telangana state where the Congress working president A Revanth Reddy will address campaign in 69 constituencies.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Telangana state on December 4 and 5, the BJP state leaders are planning for a public meeting where PM can address the meetings on one of the days.

BJP chief Amit Shah will conduct road shows and will address public meetings on November 25, 27 and 28.

The Telangana Telugu Desam leaders are planning public meetings for Chandrababu Naidu where he will address the constituencies in Hyderabad to gain the votes of Andhra residents who are living in these constituencies.

Apart from a roadshow in Khammam, Rahul Gandhi may campaign in Mahaboobnagar for his party candidates.
