Telangana People Will Reject Congress, Back TRS: Etela Rajender

Hyderabad: Senior leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and caretaker Finance minister Etela Rajender today said the people of the State would not believe in the tall promises being made by the Congress leaders before the elections. Speaking to media here today, he said that irrespective of the lies and the schemes played out by the opposition parties, it would be the TRS party which would come back to power in the upcoming elections. People believe that if caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) makes a promise, he would deliver on it, he added.

Rajender said the welfare schemes rolled out by the TRS were catering to all sections of the society irrespective of the caste and religion of the benefiters. those who want to come to power by illegal means are making communal statements, he remarked. Because the TRS delivered on its promises, the people of the State would put their faith in us, he added.

Stating that the focus and attention of the TRS would entirely be on the development of the State, he recalled that the Telangana agitation was centred around the region's waters, funds and jobs for the locals. "The party is making new plans for supporting the unemployed. The TRS government will work towards providing a Telangana that would provide for a happy and prosperous living," he added.
