KTR Man of Words, Not Deeds: Shabbir Ali

Congress MLC Shabbir Ali - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Congress MLC Shabbir Ali criticised municipal administration and urban development minister KT Rama Rao describing him as a man of words and not deeds. Speaking to media at Gandhi Bhavan here today, he said KTR as a minister was a total failure and he should resign after apologising to the people of Telangana.

Shabbir Ali mentioned that the roads in the city were in a complete mess. He said sarcastically that pedestrians were reaching their destination much faster than people traveling by vehicles. Let alone laying new roads, the TRS government was not repairing the old roads. Expressing concern over the bad roads in Hyderabad, he challenged KTR to come over to any road in the city for a debate on the issue.

The Congress MLC said the state was being governed by a maverick called K Chandrasekhara Rao. He said the Telangana CM was not bothered about anything and unconcerned about the people of the state. Time was not far away when the TRS leaders would be kicked out of the villages. He alleged that Mission Bhagiratha was an eyewash on the people. Just for the 60 per cent commission on the pipes, the TRS government had forced digging up lakes and laying pipes, he said.

He said that the Bus Chaitanya Yatra of Congress party in Telangana would resume from September 1. Till date, the party has covered 40 constituencies through the bus yatra and was planning to tour the rest of the constituencies in the present phase of the yatra. He said Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) had formed a sub-committee for the bus yatra and the final route map would be drawn within the next two days. AICC President Rahul Gandhi would be participating in the bus yatra at a place. The TPCC was trying to invite Sonia Gandhi for the yatra also, he added.
