Elections In Telangana Anytime Soon: TRS

Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Monday indicated that there is a good chance for elections to be held anytime soon. Addressing the press at the State Secretariat here, the Minister said that the Congress party was immersed in disputes between various groups of leaders, and that there was lack of strong opposition. Although there is dissatisfaction among certain MLAs across the State, the good governance in the State will ensure a grand majority to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), he said.

Srinivas Yadav said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) changed the lives of the Backward Classes (BCs) in the State. "On the occasion of the Independence Day, the Chief Minister will announce a few more welfare schemes for the benefit of the BCs," he added.

Asked about the denial of permission to Congress President Rahul Gandhi into the Osmania University campus, he replied that there was a time when even Minister Harish Rao was blocked from entering the campus.
