Rahul Gandhi To Join Praja Chaitanya Yatra During Telangana Visit On August 13

Hyderabad: For the first time after being elected as the President of All India Congress Committee (AICC), Congress president Rahul Gandhi will visit Telangana on a two day trip on August 13-14.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (T-PCC) President Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that the Congress Chief would participate in the 'Praja Chaitanya Yatra' and also convene several meetings and programs in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.

Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here today, Uttam said that Rahul would interact with members from several communities during the tour, after taking part in the bus yatra on August 13. It is learnt that a schedule is being prepared to accomodate meetings with leaders from Self Help Groups (SHGs), student unions, youth leaders and unemployed youth in the two days of Rahul's tour. On the other side, Uttam Kumar Reddy convened a meeting with top PCC leaders at Gandhi Bhavan to discuss the Congress President's Telangana tour.

Campaign On Social Media

T-PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy today inaugurated the T-PCC IT Cell at Gandhi Bhavan. Speaking on the occasion, Uttam called for a comprehensive usage of social media platforms to reach out to the public on the party programs and initiatives. Popular IT Expert Kalakuntla Madan Mohan has been appointed as the Chairman of T-PCC IT Cell. Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Shabbir Ali also participated.
