TDP Govt’s Days are Numbered: YS Jagan

YS Jagan at Bethapudi in West Godavari district - Sakshi Post

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the TDP Government has just two more years and the people are waiting for an opportunity to throw this government.

Speaking at a public meeting organised at Bethapudi village, YS Jagan decried the oppressive measures being put in place by the TDP Government on the people of Tundurru, who have risen in opposition to the setting up of a Mega Aqua Food Park. He said a war like atmosphere is being created in the adjoining villages and people are being thrown into jails on foisted murder charges.

Expressing solidarity with the villagers fighting against the Mega Food Park, he said the Food Park will damage the paddy cultivation in the region. "Where will you import the rice from, Singapore?" asked YS Jagan.

Reminding that there was no public hearing on the Mega Aqua Food Park, YS Jagan said ever since he came to power, Chandrababu Naidu is on a forced land acquisition spree. "Lands have been taken in the name of capital city construction, Bhogapuram airport, Machipatnam port and various other names,"he pointed out. He said CPM leader Madhu had been arrested when he fought for the rights of the Tundurru inhabitants. He told the people that YSRCP leader Alla Nani, Prasada Raju and Grandhi Srinivas would stand by them and assured that the party would fight for them.

"The Chandrababu Government will be thrown into the Bay of Bengal, so will this food park," YS Jagan thundered.

Earlier, locals narrated their tales of woes and the problems they are facing due to the Aqua Food Park. Airavathi of Seraipalem, Samudrala Veera Venkata Satyavani of Bethapudi, Tundurru MPTC Satyanarayana, Keerthana and Lakshmi explained about the problems they are facing due to the food park.
