As if one year ban wasn't enough for disgraced Australian Cricketer Steve Smith, he faced brickbats at the Johannesburd airport by a group of angry fans. While fans hurled abuses at him, the media was trying to pounce over him seeking answers for his act of betrayal. He was, however, soon whisked away by security men.

We need not tell you what a celebrated cricketer Steve Smith was. His admission to being hand in glove with his fellow cricketers Bancroft and Warner in the ball tampering fiasaco has sent shockwaves across the nation which eats, breathes and sleeps cricket.

It's not only Cricket Australia that has banned Steve Smith but even the upcoming IPL has ruled him out of the matches. After admitting to the ball tampering mistake, Steve Smith stepped down as the skipper of the prestigious IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals.

He tendered a public apology soon after his return to Sydney at the airport where he saought forgiveness and hoped he would earn back the respect of his fans.

The incident has sure dented the credibility of Australian cricketers and experts are of the view that it could also affect the team's performance in future matches.
