Sivaramakrishnan Committee report by month end - Sakshi Post

Sivaramakrishnan Committee announced that they would submit final report on the new capital for Andhra Pradesh to the central government by month end.

The committee visited Prakasam district on Sunday.

The committee members met people’s representatives, members of various political parties, non governmental organizations, civil society representatives and others at conference hall in the district collectorate and collected their opinions.

Speaking on the occasion, the committee members said that they got demands from all districts in the state to form the state capital in their respective districts only. “But, no city in the state has all the necessary qualifications to become the capital for the new state. It would be better if the lands are acquired at a low price,” said the committee members.

However, they clarified that the decision of central and state governments is the final in the new capital of the state.

The committee inspected the lands in Kottapatnam mandal.

YSRCP MP Y.V.Subba Reddy submitted a memorandum to the committee informing it that Donakonda is the right place for the capital.
