Seemandhra gears up for Samaikya Shankharaavam - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad, The entire Seemandhra is gearing up for Samaikya Shankharaavam, a public meeting by YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, which is to be held on October 26 at Lal Bahadur stadium in Hyderabad.

Following the High Court’s clearance to the proposed public meeting, the leaders of YSR CP in all 13 districts of Seemandhra took up various innovative programmes to motivate the public to attend the meeting.

Samaikya Shankaravam's spirit is being spread through songs, street plays and through conventional performing art forms, like Burra kathalu, against the bifurcation of the State. The women were reaching out every household to invite one and all for the meeting. They are traditionally inviting the women kumkum (Bindi) to the forehead, as if they are inviting for a festival. Some leaders are offering Samaikya chadars at the dargahs in Seemandhra. They were extending the invitations across the party lines, urging them to attend the Samaikya shankaravam to keep the State united.

It may be recalled that, the police denied permission for meeting on the pretext of law and order problems. But, the High Court responding on YSR CP’s plea, permitted the meeting. Samaikya shankaravam intended to drive home a strong message through this that welfare schemes and developmental activities can go hand in hand successfully only in a united Andhra Pradesh. This is good not only for the State but also for our entire country.
