Revanth Reddy Joins Congress, Takes Most Of Telangana TDP Leaders With Him

Revanth Reddy on Tuesday joined the Congress Party in the presence of its vice-president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi. Rahul welcomed him into the party by wrapping party stoles around his shoulders.

Interestingly, a large number of TDP biggies too have joined the Congress along with Revanth Reddy. Among them are former MLAs Seetakka, Boda Janardhan, senior leaders Vem Narender Reddy, Arikela Narsa Reddy, Soyam Bapurao, Kavvapalli Satyanarayana, Satyam, Jangaiah, Haripriya Naik, Bilya Naik, Sasikala, Rajaram Yadav, Patel Sudhakar Reddy, Ramesh and Vijayaramana Rao. Significantly, several TRS leaders like Dommati Sambaiah, Daruvu Yellanna, Balalakshmi and Madhusudhan Rao also joined the Congress on the occasion.

Congress Party's Telangana incharge RC Kuntia, TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, senior leaders V Hanumantha Rao, Geetha Reddy, Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, Mallu Ravi, Madhu Yashki Goud and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy and Kuntiya praised Revanth Reddy and called him a young and dynamic leader.

Later speaking to media persons, Revanth Reddy said that the Congress Party had carved out a separate Telangana state knowing fully well that it might not get electoral dividends out of it. After coming to power, KCR is not doing anything for the people of the state. "Only his (KCR’s) family is being benefited," he said and pointed out that KCR is joining hands with those who opposed Telangana tooth and nail.
