Heavy Downpour Dampens Sunday Spirit For Hyderabadis

Hyderabad: Light showers at some places and heavy rain in other parts of the city brought normal life to a standstill once again on Sunday. Water-logging and traffic snarls brought the city on its knees. Overflowing drains have made matters worse.

Areas like Punjagutta, Banjara Hills, Nampally, Madhapur, Mehidipatnam, Secunderabad, Kushaiguda, Dilsukhnagar, BN Reddy Nagar, Hayat Nagar, Abdullapurmet, LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Nagole, Musheerabad, Narayanaguda, Tank Bund recieved rains with thunderstorms.

Hi-Tech city and adjacent localities in the IT corridor too soaked in rain. Metro Rail works were suspended at all the locations as a precautionary measure.
