New Delhi: Congress party's president-to-be Rahul Gandhi took a chat break from his busy campaign schedule in poll-bound Gujarat, on Friday.

At Tarapur, the party's chief campaigner stopped at a local pav bhaji stall for a quick bite. Scores of Congress supporters surrounded Rahul Gandhi to shake hands and take selfies with him while he waited patiently for the freshly prepared bhaji. In a video that is going viral, Rahul Gandhi is seen sitting on a table, enjoying his hot meal, still surrounded by many people clicking photos.

The Congress party is going all out to dislodge the BJP from power in the state. It may be recalled that the BJP has been in power in Gujarat state for over 22 years. After a phased voting on December 9 and 14, counting will be held on December 18.
