Prices of petrol and diesel in AP are highest

Opposition
leader of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Opposition
leader of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said
on Thursday that petrol and diesel prices in Andhra Pradesh are the
highest of all the states in the country and added that this would have
series consequences on the people of the state.

After the Speaker Kodela Shivaprasad Rao
rejected his party’s adjournment resolution on the hike of diesel and
petrol price, the YSRCP chief demanded a discussion on the issue and
demanded the Speaker to cancel the Zero Hour if needed for an
illuminating talk.

YS Jagan said 31 percent plus Rs. 4 on
petrol and 22.1 percent plus Rs. 4 on diesel are imposed in Andhra
Pradesh. All this revenue is going to the government’s treasury, he
reminded. The Opposition leader alleged that the diesel and petrol
prices have been soaring just because of the ruling of TDP-led
government in the state.
