Nizamabad: Rajya Sabha MP from TRS D. Srinivas, who has been dropping clear hints about quitting the ruling TRS party, is all set to rejoin the Congress party. DS, as he is popularly known, defected from the Congress to the TRS seems flapping his wings to wing his way back to his parent party.
It is learnt that DS is likely to meet Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi on September 11. However, DS is reported to have told the media that it was not necessary for him to reveal everything at this point. He also denied any truth in charges that he was set to quit the ruling TRS. He added that he had sought clarity on some matters from the TRS leadership.
Earlier, D. Srinivas had appealed to the TRS to suspend him saying that he would not resign. DS also refused to respond to some statements made against him by TRS leaders. It has been widely reported that TRS Lok Sabha MP Kavitha and others sought disciplinary action against DS for his anti-party activities. They complained to chief minister KCR to this effect.
