Congress Vote Bank Politics On Nerella Unfortunate: TRS

Telangana Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar, on Friday, expressed disappointment over Congress party's continuous pursuit of personal interest in last year's Nerella incident. The Congress party is indulging in spreading lies and cooking up conspiracies with respect to the Nerella incident, which happened with zero political intervention, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader said.

The Chief Whip said that the Congress leaders were trying to lead protests, based on lies. The only objective of the Congress party is to tarnish the image of IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), who has nothing to do with the incident, he added.

Dalits and Nerella victims are unhappy with the Congress party's efforts to turn a law & order issue into an issue for Vote bank politics, he observed. "The Congress's allegations of sand mafia against Minister KTR are laughable," he commented.

During the Congress regime, less than Rs 10 crores was added to the governement's exchequer, against revenue collected from the supply of sand from the 23 districts of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Eshwar remarked. The sand policy being implemented in the state of Telangana is today, inspiring the nation, he added.
