Is JC Diwakar Using Resignation Threat To Arm-Twist Chandrababu?

Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy - Sakshi Post

Anantapur: The buzz is that TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy is holding out the threat of resignation from his Anantapur Lok Sabha seat to arm-twist Chandrababu Naidu. Rumours to this effect gathered momentum after JC did not attend the Lok Sabha proceedings on Wednesday, a day when the Speaker admitted the No-Trust vote against the party.

On his part, the Anantapur MP is learnt to have refuted all talk of dissatisfaction, but it is learnt that he is unhappy with certain developments related to his parliamentary constituency. The grapevine has it that JC had indicated resigning his Lok Sabha seat to chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu. Moreover, it is being said that Diwakar Reddy is reported to be considering the idea of projecting it as a sacrifice on his part for the cause of Special Category Status.

It is learnt that JC expressed his unhappiness over road widening work in Paturu. The officials concerned are reported to have ignored pressure exerted by the MP. JC reportedly thinks that the CM is backing the local MLA.

Secondly, JC facilitated the entry of Gurunath Reddy, former MLA into the TDP, but seven months after he came into the party, he finds himself without any position. Similarly, former MLA Madhusudan Gupta is learnt to have attended the TDP Mahanadu along with his followers to join the TDP. However, his entry was put on hold by Chandrababu. This is being cited as yet another reason behind JC Diwakar Reddy's resentment.
