Nalgonda: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy said arrangements for the rollout of the prestigious "Rythu Beema" scheme was underway across the state. Speaking to media today, the Parliamentarian said the state government has collected the nominee details and signatures of 21 lakh farmers till now. Farmers should co-operate with the government until the submission of insurance records to LIC, he requested.
The opposition parties should help the farmers in the process filing the Rythu Bheema applications, instead of making meaningless allegations, the MP remarked. With the reforms brought in by CM KCR for the farmers being successful, even the central government was starting to incline towards the same direction, Sukhender Reddy said. Farmers in the neighbouring states have staged protests in demand for the implementation of farmer welfare schemes in line with the Telangana government, he said. CM KCR announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for the families of farmers who died due to thunderstorms, he added.
