Srikakulam: Former minister and Kapu community leader Mudragada Padmanabham said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was betraying the Kapu community by not providing reservations. Moreover, the AP CM was abusing the Kapu community, he added. Speaking to media here today he said that the Kapu bill had been sent to the Centre for approval without proper information and clarity. But the TDP government was blaming the Centre for not approving the bill, he said.
Mudragada called upon people to defeat Chandrababu in the next elections. Unlike reservations in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana, the Kapu community needs reservations like before in the state, he said. He recalled that from 1910, during the British rule, their community had reaped the benefits of reservations and the same continued when AP was part of Madras state too. Our community will support the party which gives clarity on Kapu reservations before elections, he added.
