Hyderabad: A minor argument is reported to have taken place between Congress leader Revanth Reddy and Telangana legislative assembly speaker Madhusudhana Chary here today. The exchange is believed to have occurred when the members of Congress Legislative Party went to meet the speaker and demand for implementation of High Court verdict on the expulsion of two MLAs.
It is understood that Revanth Reddy had questioned the speaker on why there was delay in implementing the High Court verdict on two Congress MLAs-- Komatireddi Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar. His tone did not go down well with the speaker, who said that he would walk away from the meeting. Later, a few Congress leaders intervened and calmed him down.
Earlier the CLP leaders had called upon the speaker to revoke the expulsion of two MLAs as per the verdict of High Court. Later TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said that both speaker Madhusudhana Chary and assembly were behaving undemocratically. The Speaker was asked as to why he was delaying the implementation of High Court verdict. The TPCC chief added that Congress would go on a nationwide protest if the verdict was not implemented.
