Hyderabad: Five MLAs from the YSR Congress Party were sent notices to present themselves before the privileges committee that met in the Assembly hall on Saturday afternoon. Four of them including Jyothula Nehru, Kodali Nani, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy attended the meeting. However Roja was unable to attend due to her ill health.
Speaking to the media earlier, MLA Kotamreddy stated that he never behaved in an undemocratic manner and added that he holds the Assembly in high regard. He said that it was not right to target the opposition through these notices.
He questioned why the members from the ruling party were not being pulled up for their unruly behaviour. Even the CM and his ministers who used abusive language were being let off, he said and only the opposition members were being targetted through these notices.
