YSRCP leaders met with all the trade unions on Friday in Vizag. Representatives from INTUC,TNTUC,CITU,AITUC,DMS took part in the meeting.
YSRCP general secretary Vijay Sai Reddy called upon the trade unions to extend their support to the state-wide bandh scheduled for August 29. The bandh is being called to demand a special status to the new state of Andhra Pradesh.
He said special subsidy would mean more grands and more tax exemptions to the state so that it grows faster. He challenged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to explain how the special package was more beneficial than the special status. He said the party would wage a relentless battle for special status.
