Former Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh on Monday praised the six months of Narendra Modi-led BJP government in power, saying that he can find no shortcomings in its functioning until now.

Inflation has been controlled ever since Modi government came to power, prices of petroleum goods have come down and seeing the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, I cannot find any shortcomings till now, Amar Singh said.

As much as 70 per cent turnout in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections is an evidence that terrorism is also under check in front of the works, Singh said. Singh, who had recently met BJP leaders, said his meetings with senior leaders of any party is not indicative of his joining that party but of personal relations with other leaders.
Going to BJP leader L K Advani's house on his birthday is because of my personal relations with him, he said. Terming the Akhilesh Yadav-led UP government as a failure, he alleged the SP government had failed to check the corrupt bureaucrats.
