Not Sukumar, Chiranjeevi Deserves Credit For Rangasthalam Success

Chiranjeevi - Sakshi Post

Mega Power Star Ram Charan's latest offering Rangasthalam 1985 has received an overwhelming response from the audience and film critics. The movie has even entered the list of highest grossing Telugu movies till now. It's been a fortnight since the movie hit the screens and the film is still raking in crores at the ticket window. Well, it is all because of the story line which narrates lives of people living under a monopoly in a rural setting.

Not only the village backdrop story but the songs too played was instrumental in the success of the movie. Even the lengthy runtime of 2 hours and 50 minutes failed to hit the collections. Earlier, the producers of the movie had planned to shorten the run time fearing the audience could find it boring to watch the movie. They also received suggestions from the film technicians to delete a few scenes from the movie including the Orayyo song.

Rangasthalam producers are also believed to have suggested to director Sukumar and Ram Charan that they remove the song as it is a bit emotional in the movie. Though Cherry agreed to the filmamakers' request, he was not sure about the effect it would cause the movie. So, the makers sought a second opinion from Megastar Chiranjeevi.

It is learned that megastar did not agree for the removal of the song, which is played after the death of Aadi in the film. He told the producers the song will create a great impact in the minds of the audience which connects them to the movie. Instead he suggested that they remove a few comedy scenes. Looks like Chiru's suggestion worked big time as sure enough the song does draw a thunderous round of applause from the audience in theatres.
