Can Instagram Beat TikTok if Converted To Video Sharing App?

 - Sakshi Post

Instagram head, Adam Mosseri said that Instagram will no longer be a photo-sharing app. While millions of users who already saw this coming sau this was the worst-kept secret. In a recent video posted to his Twitter and Instagram account, Mosseri said that the company is looking to change this to a video app after seeing the success of competitors like TikTok and YouTube.

“At Instagram, we’re always trying to build new features that help you get the most out of your experience. Right now we’re focused on four key areas: Creators, Video, Shopping and Messaging,” Mosseri tweeted.

No mention of photos in the video just makes it clear that now Instagram will all be about videos, shopping, creators and Messaging. However, creators mean about people making Reels again.

Instagram was started in 2010 for people to post their pictures from their everyday lives. However, over the years, the platform has shifted to more of Reels and videos after influencers and professionals joined the app. Mosseri explained why this shift from photos to others as he spoke about the four focus areas individually.

However, though the Instagram boss said that IG will have more videos, there is still an official announcement pending from the company
