IPL2021 May Shift To UAE Or England?

 - Sakshi Post

The BCCI has announced that this year's IPL has been postponed for the time being. Officials from the board have already confirmed that the 2021 season is not cancelled. With a significant number of financial problems related to the league's administration, the board intends to finish the tournament with the remaining 31 matches. However, the corona is now fading in India, and conditions are unlikely to change in the coming months. As per the buzz, BCCI is planning to conduct IPL in UAE or England or at the end of September.

If IPL conducts in UAE
The IPL is down to its final 31 games. If they conduct double-headed matches, the tournament can be completed in three weeks. The tournament will be held either before or after the T20 World Cup, according to the board. IPL 2020 season was held in UAE and the season was completed successfully. Even the players expressed their opinions that conducting the tournament in UAE is better than India as the Covid cases are surging in India.

If IPL conducts in England
For the series against England, the Indian team will stay in England from August 4 to September 14. Since many international players compete in English leagues, the job is easy. The MCC, Surrey, Lancashire, and Warwickshire – all based at Lord's – as well as the Kia Oval (London), Edgbaston (Birmingham), and Old Trafford (Manchester) are among the County clubs that have written to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) encouraging them to extend the opportunity to the BCCI. However, ECB officials said, there is no discussion yet.

It will be risky if the IPL takes place at the end of September. The India-England series will end on September 14, and the teams have to prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup, which begins on October 14. The players will not be able to relax. The BCCI, on the other hand, intends to restart the IPL in 2021.
