Who Is Robert Crimo, Prime Suspect In Chicago's July 4 Parade Shooting

A 22-year-old Robert Crimo was taken into custody for allegedly shooting six people and injuring 36 in Chicago on Monday. He was arrested by the police after a manhunt across the town of Highland Park in Illinois. Crimo is the son of Bob Crimo, the president of Bob's Pantry and Deli in the same area of Highland Park.

According to the reports, the father of Crimo, is a mayoral candidate who lost in the 2019 election. One of Crimo's father's Facebook posts on November 28, 2018, read, "It's official, With great honour and privilege, I'm now officially on the ballot for the 2019 mayoral seat! My chance to give back to the community that is home to me and my family for many generations, it is now my purpose to serve my fellow neighbours! I hope to get your support! BOB CRIMO for HIGHLAND PARK MAYOR 2019."

Crimo has long hair and from the pics available online, he could be seen with tattoos all over his body. He has tattoos of red roses and green leaves on his neck and his right hand and palm, the number ‘47’ on his right temple, four tally marks on his right cheek with a line through them, and a cursive script above his left brow.

Robert Crimo used the moniker "Awake the Rapper" on YouTube and most of his videos seemed to have abstract content.

According to Marca, in one of his raps, he says: "Like a sleepwalker, I am unable to stop and think. My actions will be valiant and my thought is unnecessary. I know what I have to do, I know what's in it, not only for me but for everyone else."

"There is no past or future, just the now," he continues "It is more abstract than I can ever imagine. I can feel the atmosphere pushing me in. It's unstoppable, like a wave pulling me under, I can't breathe without it," he raps in another song. “. "Nothing can stop me, not even myself. Is there such thing as free will, or has this been planned out, like a cosmic recipe," he says in yet another rap.

While people were celebrating the Fourth of July, United States’ Independence Day, Robert Crimo went on a shooting spree in Chicago, Illinois, from a rooftop.
