YSR LifeTime Achievement Awards 2021 Postponed Due To New Guidelines For Events

AMARAVATI: The YSR Life Achievement Awards, YSR Achievement Awards ceremony which was to be held on August 13 was indefinitely postponed due to the new guidelines for wedding functions and events that had come into force recently. The Andhra Pradesh government has said that the program, would likely be held either in  October or November.

The AP Government has postponed this award function which was originally slated to be held on August 13 considering the COVID situation in the state and also after the new rule limiting the number of people attending any even to 150. This apart keeping in mind the age and the health of the award recipients, the government has postponed the event in view of the orders.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh presents the YSR Life Time Achievement Awards every year on the occasion of Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s birth Anniversary. The awards are meant to honour people from Andhra Pradesh who have excelled in different fields and rendered meritorious public service.
The YSR Lifetime Achievement Award carries a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs, and a memento while the Lifetime Achievement Award comprises Rs 5 lakh and a memento.
