TDP Govt Ignored People's Problems, Worked For Publicity: Sajjala

 - Sakshi Post

Normal life was thrown out of gear as extremely heavy rains of over 200 mm were recorded at various places across Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the situation with top officials on Thursday afternoon and directed the respective district collectors to be on high alert and provide all assistance needed.  Andhra government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the officials are working hard, including Ministers and MLAs are also taking part in the relief operations to tide over the situation. Here is the tweet.

In another tweet, he mentioned that the previous government used to ignore the problems faced by the people during the disasters and used to strive for publicity. The TDP government used to waste valuable time in the name of teleconferences and video conferences.

On Thursday evening, roughly 15 hours after landfall, cyclone Nivar weakened into a deep depression. It lies over South Rayalaseema and is moving gradually northward.  The system is likely to dissipate further into a depression by night and further into a low-pressure area by Friday morning. Rains may continue in some parts of the coastal Andhra Pradesh till Friday.
