Vijayawada: Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Purandeshwari and Vishnu Kumar Raju accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of involvement in large scale corruption. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders were spreading false propaganda on BJP to divert the attention of public from their misdeeds, they criticized. Speaking to media, Purandeshwari said that the state government was misusing the central government funds. "Is the TDP government ready to face CBI investigation on the allegations of corruption?" she questioned.
It is shameful to claim that the pace of Polavaram project works has increased because of state government's efforts, she said.
"Why is it that the state government never revealed that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari pressurized the Navayuga organization to speed up the project works?" she questioned.
Chandrababu should be credited for stabbing BJP in the back after coming to power with their party's help, Vishnu Kumar Raju criticized. "Why did Chandrababu agree for a Special Package for Andhra Pradesh?" he questioned. The SIT Report of the disputed land in Visakhapatnam has to be immediately released, the BJP leader remarked.
No investigation has been taken up on the issue of irregularities pertaining to the Pattiseema project works, he said. Also, a scandal to the tune of Rs 60 crores took place, he alleged. .
The ruling party, which threatened pensioners to attend the Nava Nirmana Deeksha, will lose the deposits in the upcoming elections, he added.
