Visakhapatnam: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC Somu Veerraju alleged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh were facing a threat of defeat in the 2019 elections. Governance has come to a standstill with the "Nava Nirmana Deeksha" meetings, he pointed out. Speaking to media here today, the BJP leader said that the state government wasted Rs 50 crores in the name of Nava Nirmana Deeksha.
Chandrababu should reveal why he wants to ally with Congress party, which was immersed in corruption, he asked. He is dreaming of becoming the Prime Minister. People who are eligible for getting pensions are being denied, he said and added that the Janma Bhoomi committees are not working properly.
Chandrababu has turned into an honorary campaigner of the BJP, he said. In protest against the attack on BJP leaders, the party will stage a protest in Vijayawada on June 11, Veerraju informed.
