Rangasthalam Fails To Beat Magadheera Record in Karnataka

Mega Power star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam has become talk of the town ever since its release in theatres. The film did fantastic business at the overseas box office as well as Indian box office. But, Rangasthalam failed to live upto Karnataka audience's expectations.

We already informed you that Rangasthalam has bagged the third spot in foreign shores after Baahubali series and among the highest grossing telugu films. It did a business above Rs 100 Cr worldwide where it is still running in theatres even two months after its release.

According to reliable sources, Rangasthalam failed to beat Magadheera collections in Karnataka area. According to a trade report doing the rounds on Twitter, Rangasthalam has become a huge disaster at the Karnataka box office. Cherry's Magadheera has earned Rs 4 Cr shares in Karnataka alone, but Rangasthalam failed to touch this magic figure.


Rangasthalam is a rural revenge drama where Charan plays a partially impaired person in the film. The film is directed by Sukumar and set in the 1980s. Rangasthalam has been appreciated by several Tollywood and Bollywood stars. Ram Charan's inbox and social media pages have been flooded with congratulatory messages. Apart from Cherry, Samantha, Aadhi, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj are seen in pivotal roles.

On the work front, Ram Charan will be next seen in Boyapati Srinu film which is currently on floors. The untitled film is slated for release this year around Dasara. An official word about the release date about is awaited. Watch this space for more.
